At the heart of every Credit Union is its volunteers. Unlike other financial institutions, the board of Directors and Supervisors in Dungannon Credit Union are made up of volunteers - members who have the skills and knowledge to govern and lead. Volunteering at DCU can give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in areas of strategic governance and directorship while building life-long connections with like-minded people in our community.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
- Become responsible for directing the affairs of a local business.

SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE
- Ensure that the duties of the officers of the credit union are properly carried out and shall fulfil such functions as may be prescribed by the Regulators
- Ensuring that the board of directors and management meet required financial reporting objectives.
- Establishing practices and procedures to safeguard members’ assets.
- Monitoring internal controls.
- Verifying annual audits and member accounts.
- Mitigating risk related to error, conflict of interest, self-dealing, and fraud.
What can I do to help?
We at the Credit Union cannot achieve our objectives in the community without the commitment and support of our volunteers. If you feel you (or a friend) have the relevant experience to take part and you have a few hours a month to spare, for more details, please fill in the form below.
